Special Weather Statement issued January 15 at 2:59AM PST by NWS Pendleton OR Patchy dense freezing fog has been observed across north central Oregon as well as the Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon and the Blue Mountain Foothills. The visibility is less than one half mile in places. This includes Highway 11 near Weston, Interstate 84 in Hermiston, and Highways 97 and 197 north of Madras. Drivers should expect a sudden reduction in visibility as well as black ice on the roadways.
