Special Weather Statement issued January 10 at 9:26PM MST by NWS Great Falls MT A Canadian cold front has already moved south over the Hi-Line as of 9 pm MST, bringing approximately one hour of increasing northwesterly winds, along with a quick changeover from a rain- snow mix to all snow. During that period, winds gusted to 35 mph, and the snow reduced visibility to 2 miles at times. This front is forecast to continue moving south over the plains of North Central Montana, likely reaching Great Falls by 11 pm and Lewistown around midnight, and bringing similar wind and snow conditions. If traveling across North Central Montana this evening, be prepared for rapidly changing weather and road conditions.
